Dorothy Rand

Dorothy Rand, 91, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at her home on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Born in Newark, NJ Dorothy had lived in Belleville, NJ prior to retiring to Toms River, 35 years ago. She was on the toy assembly line for Remco, Harrison, NJ for many years.

Dorothy loved to visit Atlantic City with her late husband Murray, strawberry shortcake, and watching I love Lucy reruns. Dorothy was very personable within her community and shared her famous Macaroni and Shrimp Salad with all. Most importantly Dorothy loved spending time with her family.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Stella Kaminski, her husband Murray Rand and her brother Carl Kaminski. Surviving are her three sons; Stephen Rand of Monroe Twp., NJ, Donald Rand of US Virgin Islands, and Kenneth Rand of Willow Springs, NC. Also surviving are her four grandchildren; Ken Jr., Justin, Ryan and Nicholas, her 3 great granddaughters, Alexa, Gianna and Ensley, her brother Stanley Kaminski and sister Frances Davies and her husband George and a host of loving nieces and nephews and cousins.

A special thanks to her very important caregiver Ann Marie DiGianni who took care of Dorothy for many years and whom Dorothy loved dearly.

A Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26, 2025 12:00 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River.
