Edward Russo died in Toms River at the age of 88. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughters and their husbands Jo and Jim Grazide; Connie Fagan; Anne Marie and Richard Beckerman; and Janice and Steven Vastola.
He also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Susan, Eddie, and Matthew Fagan; Capt. Laurissa Salome Elliott, and Paul Salome; Christopher and Kimberley Yakuboff; Steven Vastola and Corey Ann Delaney; and Michelle Vastola. Great-grandchildren are Rhiannon Wright; Samara and Michael Elliott; and James Corey Vastola.
Edward was born in Brooklyn, NY and married Mary in 1950. Edward worked as a Master Electrician until retirement. They lived in Brooklyn until 2006 when they moved to Toms River and reside in Holiday City South in Berkeley. They spent many wonderful years traveling and participating in countless activities with their friends, neighbors, and family.
Edward loved the mountains and every part of nature. He built his own vacation home in the Catskills, which became a haven for family and friends. After this was sold, he spent much of his time enjoying visiting with family, and he will be missed.
Viewing will be at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home from 4-6 and from 7-9 on Monday, March 5 with a service at 8 PM. Interment will be at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Long Island.
