Edwin F. Heimann, 93, of Toms River and Monmouth Junction passed away on Monday February 4th, 2013 at home. Born in Fremont, Ohio, he resided in Irvington prior to moving to Toms River. He was a World War II Veteran and obtained the rank of Captain with the Irvington Fire Department where he served for 32 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife Mildred, daughter Linda, brother Curtis and grandson Robert. Surviving are his daughters Diane and Stan Plona of Monmouth Junction, NJ and Joyce and Frank Bell of Mine Hill, NJ, son Edwin and Doreen Heimann of Montague, NJ, sister Else Blase of Union, NJ, grandchildren Kimberley and husband Frank Morales of Hillsboro, NJ, Richard, Lisa and Danielle and 3 great grandchildren Alexandra, Logan and Vanessa Morales. Visitation will be Wednesday February 6th, 2013 from 11am-2pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Service will be offered at 1pm during visitation.
