John F. Geraghty, 58, of Whiting, NJ passed away on Tuesday Feb 24th at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Born in Oradell, John lived most of his life in Jackson before moving to Whiting 5 years ago. John was the former owner of Country Auto Parts in Jackson for 15 years and he was a service writer for Harold’s Service Center in Spring Lake for 4 years. John raced his modified car at Wall Stadium for over 20 years.
John is survived by his wife Margaret “Maggie” Geraghty; two sons John F. Geraghty III and Jack Geraghty; 3 step-children, Vincent and Angel Vaccarella, Daniel and Katharine Vaccarella, and Kristen and Jeff DeVuyst; 3 step-grandchildren, Tino, Carol and Marion.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday March 1, 2015 from 1 to 4 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at 3:30 PM.
