Josephine Larsen

Josephine “Jo” Larsen died Friday, December 23, 2022, at the Gardens at Monroe in Monroe Township. She was 84. Born in Newark, NJ to the late Angelo and Angela Corbo, she worked for Prudential Insurance before settling down to raise her family in Old Bridge for 50 years. Jo was an avid reader and could often be found at local libraries and bookstores. Her New Year’s Eve parties were always memorable and the aromas from her kitchen reached outside the door of her Mercer Road home to the delight of her neighbors. Above all else, her love for her family was extraordinary as was her strong devotion to her Catholic faith.

She was predeceased by her sister Milly and brother-in-law Tommy, sister Anna, and brother-in-law Tony, and her nephew, Angelo. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Neil. She also leaves behind her children: son David; son Alan and his wife, Diane; daughter Elaine and her husband, Jim as well as her three grandchildren Justin, Adam, and Bridget; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 27 at 10:00 a.m., Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, 185 Applegarth Road, Monroe. Entombment will immediately follow at Holy Cross Burial Park, 840 Cranbury Road, Jamesburg.
