Margaret E. "Peg" Leach

Margaret "Peg" E. Leach, 96, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. Born in Passaic, NJ, Peg had lived in Nutley, NJ before moving to Silver Ridge Park Westerly 46 years ago. Peg worked as an Executive Secretary for Ciba-Geigy.

Peg enjoyed playing the piano, golfing, bowling and gardening. Most importantly she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Peg was predeceased by her loving husband John in 2012 and is survived by her three step daughters, Linda Masse of North Smithfield, RI, Donna Schapiro-Roberts and husband Bill of Buffalo, NY and Meryl Hill and husband Richard of Bath, ME, 8 step grandchildren Stephen Masse, Karen Masse, Craig Schapiro, Jared Schapiro, Matthew Schapiro, Clark Hill, Meredith Inocencio (Hill) and Dianna Kilgallen (Hill), 12 step great grandchildren Katie, Victoria, Alicia, Christopher, Liam, Aiden, Asher, Stellan, Xander, Amelia, Jace and Avery and 3 step great great grandchildren Izabella, Elijah and Calvin. Peg is also survived by her three godchildren, Carol, Tom and Paul.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday October 2, 2025 at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757.

Cremation was private under the direction of Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River.
