

A longtime resident of Brick Township, NJ and Whiting, NJ, Margaret was born on April 16, 1935, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania to Herman and Clara Myers and had eight siblings. She graduated from City Hospital School of Nursing (University Hospital), Newark, NJ and received her Master of Social Work from Trenton State College (TCNJ) in Trenton, NJ. Marge went on to work as a registered nurse at Monmouth College followed by a long career as a social worker for Brick Township Schools. A member of the child study team, she worked tirelessly for the children of Brick and left quite a legacy as a social worker. For her many contributions to the community, she was recognized as Brick Township Citizen of the Year by the Jaycees.
Margaret married Eugene Madeiros in 1957, and together they had five children. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marge truly cherished time spent with family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She worked tirelessly for the children she served in Brick Township schools and left quite a legacy as a social worker.
She enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband and they developed many lifelong friendships. Those who knew Margaret will remember her for her kindness, generosity, empathy, and fierce loyalty to others.
Margaret is survived by her children: Lynne Madeiros, Steven Madeiros (Sheri Estrella), Lisa Simek (Scott Simek), Carol Berti (Anthony Berti), and David Madeiros (Wendy Madeiros), twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters: Lou Harvey, Judy Redditt, and Clara Sorvillo. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Eugene, her parents, and five of her siblings.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River NJ.
On Monday, November 3, 2025, there will be a memorial service at Quinn-Hopping at 9:45 AM followed by burial at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown, NJ at 11:30 AM.
