Mary P. C. Hayman Puma, 93, of Toms River, NJ died on Friday October 12, 2012 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in London, England, she was the youngest of a large and loving family. She married Salvatore Francis Puma. She came to the US in 1946 on the Queen Mary and lived in Manhattan, the Bronx, Haverstraw, NY, Beachwood, NJ and finally moved to Holiday City South in Berkeley Twp. in 1986.
She was predeceased by her husband Salvatore “Frank” Puma in 1989 and her daughter Janis Christine Puma in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Carey and her husband Edward of NC and her granddaughter Denise Testa of Toms River, NJ. She is also survived by nieces and nephews in England and Canada.
Cremation was private and burial will take place at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY. Arrangements were handles by Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Popcorn Park Zoo 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731
