

On January 6, 2021, Michael Hajduk died peacefully at his home in Toms River, NJ at the age of 98. He was born on April 11, 1922 in Kuropatnyky, Poland now Ukraine. He came to the United States in 1948, lived in Jersey City, then Clark before retiring to Toms River.
He raised his family working in his grocery store, as a meat-packer at Swift and then retiring after many years as a machinist at L'Oréal.
He was a proud member of the Ukrainian-American community and a devout parishioner of St. Stephen Ukrainian Catholic Church in Toms River. He worked tirelessly fundraising, making pierogis and babkas to build the Church.
He was faithfully married to the late Maria Hajduk. He is survived by his daughter Mary Ann (spouse Jeremy), son Michael Hajduk (spouse Althea), and grandsons Michael and Nathan, as well as relatives and friends.
Visitation Sunday and funeral service Monday. Contact Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. Due to the pandemic, the family requests that people do not attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Stephen Ukrainian Catholic Church, Toms River, NJ.
