Michael "Mike" Masi

Michael "Mike" Masi, 68, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ, surrounded by his loved ones. Born and raised in Newark, NJ, Mike lived in Las Vegas, NV for 10 years before moving back to NJ in 1993, and settled in Howell. In 1997, Mike attended the NJDOC Training Academy and became a Corrections Officer. After retiring, Mike enjoyed practicing Martial Arts and helped instruct children and teens in self defense. In 2018, he relocated with his wife to Toms River, NJ, to be closer to loved ones.

Mike is survived by his wife Teresa, of 25 years, his step-daughter, Kristen Lodato and her husband Nick; his granddaughter, Olivia Grace; his brothers, Anthony and Richard; his sisters, Carmen Frank and Elinore Antunes and her husband Antonio; his Godson, Antonio Gerard; Brothers-in-law, Joseph Sicoli and Frank Sicoli; Sisters-in-law, Andrea Reda and Frances Scardillo; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Let's not forget his playful companion, Amber.

A celebration of life for Michael will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
