

It is with great sadness that the family of Philip Giuliano, 97, of Toms River, NJ announces his passing after a long illness on Monday May 24, 2021 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Flushing, Queens for over 20 years before moving to Toms River in 1993. He was a proud veteran of the US Army having served in WW II. Philip retired from the NYC Department of Sanitation after 20 years of service and then was supervisor of maintenance at the Flushing Care Center in Queens, NY for 10 years. He was a member of the New York Opera Guild. In Toms River he was a member of the VFW Post 10185, and Holiday City South Men’s Club, Social Club, Square Dancing Club, Choir and the South Wind Chorus. Along with his family singing and performing were his passions, in addition to being a consummate joke teller.
Philip was predeceased by two brothers, Vito and Jerry Giuliano; three sisters, Frieda Fabbricante, Margaret Nicolosi and Rosa Giuliano. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Palma Genovese Giuliano; two daughters, Rosemarie and Agatha and their spouses Andrew Polo and Joseph Andrews, former son-in-law Gregory Regolizio; a sister Anna Marino; five grandchildren Cristina Polo, Andrew Polo and wife Erin, Catherine Polo, Paul Regolizio and Stephen Regolizio; three great-grandchildren, Daniella Figueroa, Gio Martin and Caterina Grace Polo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday June 3, 2021 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Toms River, NJ 08757. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Brigadier General Willam C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery 350 Provinceline Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
