Robert Anthony Intile, 49, of Treasure Island, Florida, passed away on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born in Paterson, NJ, he lived in Fairfield and Jersey City prior to moving to Florida in 2014.
Robert worked at Retail Business Management Systems in NJ for more than twenty years and was currently self-employed as a computer consultant.
Rob was a talented composer and musician, having written numerous songs, as well as the score for a French movie for the New School in NYC, and the music and lyrics for "The Awakening", an original musical produced in NYC. As a classically trained singer, he has been featured in many regional and off (off) Broadway musical productions. "The Awakening" marked his first original musical creation. In the early 1990s, Rob was the front man for Lovecraft, a techno band in Orlando, Florida.
Rob was predeceased in 2015 by his husband, Vincent Comppen. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Intile; his father, Richard N. Intile; brothers, Michael and Richard J. Intile; nephew, Brian Intile; Niece, Jessica Intile; and brothers, Matthew and Drew Intile. He is also survived by cousins, Debi and Michele Mauro and beloved partner, Brandon Jacobson.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at 3:00 PM.
