Robert “Bob” V. Rokas, 85, of Toms River, NJ went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday May 25, 2022 with his wife by his side comfortably at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Kearny, NJ. He worked for P.S.E. & G. for over 30 years and retired to Forked River before moving to Toms River. He proudly served on active duty in the US Army from 1953-1956 having served overseas in Europe.
Bob was the most loving, kind, generous man anyone could meet. He was always looking to help and bless others in their need no matter their situation. He will be forever loved and remembered.
He is survived by his beloved wife Rosanne; daughter Jenine and her husband Jonathan, his grandson Jason; his son Jason and grandson Tyler; his son John and his wife Candice and grandsons, Nicholas and Noah. He is also survived by his brother Leonard and many wonderful friends.
Visiting hours will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday May 30, 2022 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at funeral home at 3:30 pm. Cremation will be private and burial will take place in near future at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Abundant Grace Church Food Pantry 108 Indian Head Road Toms River, NJ 08753.
