Ruth Byron, 82, of Toms River, passed away on Thursday January 9, 2014 at Community Medical Center. Ruth was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Holiday City West in 2000. She worked for 45 years and retired in 1993 as a supervisor at Sovereign Bank in Elizabeth, NJ.
Ruth was predeceased by her daughter Jacquelyn Byron. She is survived by her daughter Caroline Bastardo and her husband Tom, her granddaughter Victoria Bastardo, her “granddaughter” Valerie Byron Velasco; and her lifelong friend, Ina Klasko.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 12th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday January 13th at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Linden, NJ.
