Virginia E. “Gini” Marko, 73, of South Toms River, passed away on April 22, 2015. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she lived in Cranford before moving to South Toms River in 1968. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church. Gini adored her grandchildren and loved spending as much time as possible with them.
Gini was predeceased by her son-in-law Corporal Scott Thompson of the Manchester Police Department. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Ronald; two sons, Kenneth and his wife Adrienne Marko, Daniel and his wife Laura Marko; a daughter Tracy Thompson; a brother Peter Cooke and his wife Patti; two sisters, Christine Griffiths and Geri Teller and her husband Wade; and her six grandchildren, Jillian Marko, Kaitlyn Marko, Madison Marko, Alexandra Marko, Kelsey Thompson and Sydney Thompson.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday April 26, 2015 from 1 to 5 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at St. Joseph Church, Toms River. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
