Adrienne Jane Francis (nee Smith) passed away peacefully in Toronto, Ontario on November 6th, 2022 in her 95th year. Born to Matthew and Phyllis Smith she is predeceased by her beloved husband William ‘Harry’ Henry Francis of Cambridge, England, brother Alan and sister-in-law Joan Smith, sister Joan and brother-in-law Donald McMeeken, brother-in-law Robert Chambers and niece Pamela Lynch. She is survived by her sister Wendy Chambers of Peterborough, Ontario nephews and nieces Paul, Owen, Leslie, Tanya and Jennifer and many great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a devoted sister and aunt who loved history, lively political debate, a good cup of tea and had a special affection for animals. Cremation has taken place and will be followed by a private family burial. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Toronto Humane Society or the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
