Peacefully at Suomi Koti on Thursday, October 01, 2026 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late Eino Kalevi. Loving mother of Juha (Kirsi), Allan (Brenda), and Tuula (Sami). Mummo will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Jesse (Selena), Joshua (Alysha), Kristina, Leif and Stefan. She was a wonderful great grandmother to Jonathan, Michael, Juliet, Audrey and Max. Anja will be fondly remembered by her sister Lea and family, and her late brother Hannu’s family, as well as family and friends in Finland and Canada.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Suomi Koti Nursing Home and Dr. Heikki Ylanko for their exceptional care and compassion.
The funeral service will be held at the Saalem Finnish Pentecostal Church of Toronto, 2570 Bayview Avenue on Thursday, October 08, 2026 at 11.00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to either Saalem Finnish Pentecostal Church of Toronto or Suomi Koti would be greatly appreciated.
