In loving memory of Anna, a devoted wife, mother, cherished Yiayia. Anna's journey began in Greece, where she embraced the beauty of her homeland. Fueled by dreams of a brighter future, she, alongside her husband Sokratis, embarked on an arduous but hopeful journey to Canada, driven by the determination to build a better life. In this new land, Anna's green thumb continued to flourish as she cultivated her vibrant garden, creating a piece of Greece in the heart of Canada. Her cooking bringing the flavors of her heritage to a new home – chicken and lemon potatoes, comforting chicken soupa with fresh cut lemons, pita, baklava, and Greek cookies became cherished staples for the family. Beyond the kitchen, Anna found joy in family moments, while her days were also filled with laughter, shopping escapades, and coffee gatherings with friends at the mall. Anna's passion for travel mirrored her adventurous spirit, creating lasting memories and collecting treasures from around the world, particularly new outfits and shoes. Through her unwavering commitment to ensuring everyone around her was well-fed and content, Anna became the heart of the family, radiating warmth and joy in the role of Yiayia. Anna will be deeply missed. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
