Assaad Fouad Ghubril

Survived by his wife Victoria Ghubril and two children, Adib Carl Ghubril (Georgia Fatouros Ghubril) and Ilham Ghubril Boudoumit (Jean Michel Boudoumit), his adored grandchildren Timothy, Athena, Anastasia, Emmanuel, Zoe, Nathaniel and Penelope, brother Samir Ghabril and sisters Nadia Abuhamad, and Samira Geha, Miriam Ghubril, and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his brother Wadih Gabriel and his sisters Adma Maamari and Samia Maamari.

Assaad loved many activities, especially swimming. He went regularly to the American Club of Athens and the YMCA in Toronto to swim laps in the pool. Assaad was passionate about semi-precious stones and enjoyed playing the harmonica. Assaad loved talking about the root of words, even writing a dictionary.

Assaad was an accomplished engineer and an award winning project manager with the Canadian Federal Government.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 10th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Blessed Trinity Parish (3220 Bayview Ave., North York, ON) with a Mass to follow at 11:00am. Burial to take place at Holy Cross Cemetery (8361 Yonge St., Toronto).
