Cyril passed peacefully with family by his side, after a long battle with Cancer on September 7, 2026 at Sunnybrook Hospital. He is survived by his wife, of 39 years, Rose, and his children Kenneth and Kate. He is also survived by Arsenia Malbas, Felinita Mijares, Edgar Briones, and his nieces and nephews.
Cyril has gone to rest with his parents, Felino and Nonita Briones, his siblings Antonio Briones, Carlo Briones, Rosalio Briones, and Leonardo Briones. Also his grandparents Rosendo and Ignasia Briones.
Cyril will be remembered as one of the kindest people, with a pure heart, who always put others before himself. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, uncle, brother-in-law, friend, and neighbour who was devoted to family and loved every moment he spent with them.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the Palliative Care staff at Sunnybrook Hospital for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will take place September 14, 2026 at St. Paschal Babylon Parish, Thornhill.
