Don was born on July 12, 1934 in Montreal to Stanley J. and Isabel (nee Grieve) Saunders, where he grew up with his beloved brothers Les (deceased) and Keith (deceased). Don began his 40 plus year career at CP Rail as a young man and eventually worked as the General Manager of Cater Air in Toronto.
In 1957 Don married the love of his life Carole nee Glenny (deceased) and together they raised 3 boys Lance (Suzanne), Scott, and Chris (Monique). The family continued to grow to include 4 grandchildren (Mackenzie, Cole, Reese, and Sloane) and one great grandchild (Faye).
Don was an avid photographer, fly fisher and reader. Most importantly he was an incredible husband, father, father in law, grandfather and great grandfather, and he will be sorely missed.
Services will take place at Kane-Jerrett Funeral home located at 6191 Yonge Street on Thursday September 26, 2024 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and a service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
