George Joseph Fagan, 88, passed away on October 16, 2026. Born May 25, 1938, in Dominica, George carried the strength of his beginnings with him throughout a life defined by steady effort, quiet wisdom, and a generous heart. He later moved to England in his early twenties, meeting each new chapter with resilience and purpose.
A hard-working man in every sense, George built a life grounded in skill and determination. He worked as a mechanic for the famous double-decker buses in England—work that demanded precision, patience, and pride in doing things properly. He also brought focus and drive to his time as a professional darts men, where discipline and composure spoke as loudly as talent.
George’s compassion showed most clearly in the way he cared for others and the way he lived—thoughtfully, steadily, and with an open hand. He was passionate about working out and good health, not as a passing interest, but as a commitment to living well and staying strong through life’s changes.
He found meaning in faith and fellowship through attending church in Cambridge, where his presence reflected the kind of quiet generosity that does not seek attention.
George is survived by his children Winston (Jennifer), Susan, and Kaitlyn, and by his grandchildren Pierre and Sophia. In the lives he helped shape and the love he gave freely, his legacy continues—uplifting, enduring, and deeply felt.
Special thanks are extended to Auxiliadora, who helped with his care, and to Liz, his financial advisor, for their support and guidance.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday October 18, 2026 at 10 am at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home at 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Service will follow at 11 am. George will be laid to rest at York Cemetery.
