I feel so lucky that I got to spend a few weeks with you all in Canada. We did some amazing things and they are truly special memories. I would look forward to your visits to England, I remember them being really exciting times. You were always making everyone laugh with your Donald Duck impression and hair flick. Treasured memories.

Dear uncle Glenn

They say a picture tells a thousand words and I think we can see from the pictures shared that your warm smile and kindness shines through. Your sense of humour will also be something we will always remember, from Donald Duck impressions to the flicking of your hair.

I wish we could have spent more time with you in more recent years, but it was not to be. I will always treasure your visits to England with Margaret and Julie, staying at Nanny & Grandad Watson’s. We all looked forward to seeing you. Your family holiday usually ended with a party at the Watson's, happy times and precious memories.

Then of course there was my visit to Toronto in 1989, you had another teenage girl in the house but I think you coped very well and took great care of us, often driving me and Julie around. I remember the BBQ’s in the back yard and you ordering the biggest pizza I’d ever seen. Thank you for the fun times and your hospitality.

It’s time for you to rest dearest uncle Glenn, we will keep you in our hearts and minds always.

Oh how I wish I had some recent photos of us to share but those moments growing up are captured in both my mind and my heart. 

You never got fed up of spending your visits to England being asked repeatedly to do your famous Donald Duck impressions….
Or watch us perform our shows while i wore your flat cap (which never looked as good on me) Even if you did, you always entertained us with that infectious smile and laugh, moments that will be with me always.

My children, Emily and Freddie would have loved you, as we always will.

As neighbours for over 42 years, we will always cherish the great catch ups and camaraderie we had with Glenn as he provided great colour about folks living around us. And while Margaret was working, it was clockwork when he left to take her to work and picking her in the afternoons… a “dote full” husband indeed! And he always looked forward to Julie and her family’s visit especially in the latter years. May Glenn’ s soul rest in eternal peace! We extend our sincere condolences to Margaret, Julie and all family members and may they be given the requisite strength and patience during this difficult period.

We will always remember our Uncle Glenn. Your Donald Duck impression, hair flick and jokes always brought us giggles. We will treasure our memories we have together.

Our dear Glenn, kind, funny, always the joker.
As a boy, Andrew remembers you making fly Arrows and you both taking them to the rec.  He recalls they used to fly for what seemed like miles.
You would go to No2 on Bonfire night.  This was always the most exciting night of the year for him. 
Another memory of Andrew's is how you used to Karate chop the firewood/kindling. He was well impressed!
Andrew feels you always seemed more like a brother than an inlaw. 
We had a fabulous holiday staying with you both in Canada. Glenn was our tour guide by day taking us to see some amazing sights and introducing us to Bagel heaven at Tim Hortons. In the evening, Glenn was King of the BBQ. This was usually followed by a few games of crib, precious memories. 
We always looked forward to and enjoyed your company when you came to visit. Our children loved your humour,  and you were always so happy to entertain them, and you watched them as they enthusiastically performed their shows to entertain  you.
We will all remember you with happy memories and love always.

What can I say about Glenn? Glenn was my Dad's apprentice and didn't expect to be a babysitter as well as a painter and decorator! Before I went to school I went to work with my Dad so my Mum could work and Glenn found himself playing nursemaid to me (and my dog apparently) as well as learning his trade. Over the years he took great delight in telling me tales of our exploits including how he had to change my pants and deal with my tendency to car sickness!!!
My memories are of a very happy time, with lots of fun and Donald Duck making lots of appearances! I never could work out how he did that!
I know that Dad thought a lot of Glenn, and Margaret too, and looked upon him as the son he never had. Indeed, we were very close to emigrating at one point in order to join them in Canada. I would like to think that they are reunited for more schemes, as they were always up to something when they were together. I do know that they had a friendship which lasted a lifetime.
I am just sorry that Glenn couldn't stay just a little longer for us to be able to meet again when we visit next month but it wasn't meant to be. Until we meet again rest easy Glenn and try to behave yourself!

I have so many beautiful memories of my Uncle Glen that I will carry with me forever. His Donald Duck voice will always be one of my favourites—it could make anyone smile. I remember spending countless hours in his backyard, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of his pond filled with fish, and the vibrant colours of his garden. We would play croquet, laughing and enjoying every moment.

One memory that still makes me smile was the time I slept over, and they recorded me snoring in my sleep. We had such a great laugh listening back to it—what a noise I made!

Uncle Glen was a kind, loving, and gentle man with so much wisdom to share. His warmth, humour, and the way he made people feel will be deeply missed. He will forever live on in my heart and in the memories I was so lucky to make with him.

Until we meet again, may your garden always be in bloom, your pond always full of life, and your laughter echo in our hearts.

I have such fond memories of my lovely Uncle Glenn visiting us from Canada. My sisters and I, would always look forward to his, Auntie Margaret's and Julie's visits. 

Uncle Glenn would make us all laugh with his fantastic Donald Duck impressions. He would do them over and over for us. We would always try to learn how to do them but no one could beat him! Then there was the infamous hair flap. That trap door still makes me smile now! 

Uncle Glenn would watch on as we would put on our shows. Always giving us his full attention. Enthusiastically entertaining our idea of entertainment! 

Uncle Glenn, considering you lived thousands of miles away you feature in many of my strongest childhood memories. You will be fondly remembered by many.

Glenn, you will be so sadly missed by everyone who knew you.

One of my favourite memories is our trip to Canada back in 1991. You kept dropping coins on the floor and shouting, “Mon-eeey!” while Laura and I scrambled to grab as much as we could. I can still hear you saying it now.

Then there was your Donald Duck voice – we would keep asking you to do it again and again, and it made us laugh every single time.

And then… there’s the hair. You looked like you had a full head of it, and you loved to surprise everyone by flicking your head to the side – revealing that you actually had no hair at all on top. It was just a very long comb-over… which would then fall perfectly back into place like nothing had happened.

I’ll never forget your face when I bought a pair of Reebok Pumps – they were all the rage in the 90s. You were horrified at how expensive they were, and you told me how you only ever spent $10 on trainers from Buy-Wrights, and that they’d last you for years. And sure enough, the next time you came to England, you were wearing the exact same trainers… still telling me how cheap they were!

Now you can rest, Glenn. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. I know everyone who knew you has their own stories to tell and their own fond memories of you – the kind that will stay with us for a lifetime.

My dearest uncle Glenn
 I as a child loved his Donald Duck voice as all the kids did. Generations of babies got to laugh at that voice.  Always kind, I don’t think I’ve heard him say anything negative about anyone (except for that one new neighbour !) years ago. 
 He always gave good advice  and cherished his family beyond words, so very proud of all his grandbabies

Dear Glenn will be sadly missed by all of our family.
One particular memory we have of Glenn was from when we visited Canada in 1991.
We spent many evenings playing scrabble and Glenn would win every time!!
He came up with the most obscure 2 or 3 letter words ,which would win him every game. This was in the days before Google!! He would sit there, completely serious and would be adamant that a particular 2 letter word was known by everyone.  We always let him get away with it as we didn't dare show our possible ignorance by not knowing a random word that he had chosen, with a very serious expression,  incredulous that we hadn't heard of it!!!
He also had Carly and Laura in fits of laughter ,when he would flip his extra long piece of hair over to tuck under his cap!!! (His Bobby Charlton comb over)!!!
We remember visiting Niagra Falls, when he had bought his first electric scooter. He would whizz around,  really pleased, because he could tell us to hurry up, until the battery wore down, so he looked for the biggest hill to roll down in order to charge it!!!
Happy memories and a sad loss.
