Hannelore Ruth Werner

Lore is pre-deceased by her parents Lisbeth and Ernst Kluge.

Lore will be remembered as a person who thrived on new opportunities. After completing high school in Eisenberg, Germany she moved to Berlin for work and even though she loved Berlin at the age of 21 in pursuit of a new challenge Lore immigrated to Canada.

Once settled in Toronto she started working in Banking and at the same time attended night school to complete her university degree. This kickstarted a career in Finance culminating in her retirement as Assistant Chief of Pensions, City of Toronto.

Outside of work, Lore loved her Willowdale community, her neighbours, their dogs and cats and perhaps most of all, her garden. She was a good friend, a person of strong values and had a unique ability to make people smile and laugh.

Her friends would like to express deep thanks to the staff at Sunrise of Thornhill, Retirement Home for their support to Lore over the last 5 years and lastly, North York General Hospital for their compassionate care.

Funeral services will take place at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St.
