Jean Lin Quon Hoy

She is survived by her children, David Hoy, Della Thomas (Bill Thomas) and Susan Russell.

Jean was a devoted wife to William Hoy for 58 years before his passing in 2013.

She will be remembered kindly by her brother Ken Ying, his wife Belinda, two sons, Christian and Christopher.

A special thank you to Connie Monton and Angela Campbell who took care of Jean before and during her battle with dementia. They provided so much love and support that will never be forgotten. The bond they formed with Jean will ever be entwined.

We would also like to thank the nurses and caregivers on the 9th floor at the Westbury where she spent her final years. Thank you for the care and compassion that you provided to Jean.

Jean was known for her strong-willed personality but also for her generosity and kindness to others. Her strength and determination and love for life touched all that knew her.

Jean will be fondly missed, and the memories will live on in each and everyone who had the pleasure to know her.

A visitation for Jean will be held Friday, March 21, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto.

A visitation will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto.

A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto.

A reception will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto.

A committal service will occur Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 2:00 PM at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Rd, Toronto.
