Emily Sider and Jean Hill of the Lansing United Church Food Bank volunteers would like to send our sincerest condolences to the James family.  Joan, beside being  a wonderful volunteer,  was a outgoing person who enjoyed life.  We were glad to have shared time with her as volunteers.

On behalf of the Johnson family ( George J., Ben, Sylvia, Dorette and Paul) we would like to extend our condolences to Joan's family. My last meeting with Joan occurred at my mother's funeral in 2002. ( mom was originally Doris James, younger sister of Stan James ). We talked of Joan's interest in the James' family history and I was able to send her information compiled by my daughter in our annual Christmas card exchange. Unfortunately, our next meeting was at Don's funeral, a few weeks later. I recall her being a very gracious lady. You will be in our thoughts and prayers, especially in the next few days.
