John also became actively involved in the Downsview Car Club, in which he formed many great friendships over the years and enjoyed playing darts, watching NASCAR, working on cars at the garage with the guys and enjoying a few cold beers.
His greatest achievement in life and what made him the proudest, was of his son Andrew, who is currently serving as an Aerospace Controller in the Canadian Air Force in North Bay.
John’s zest for life, living every moment to the fullest attitude, humor and even his stubbornness will be greatly missed by all of his family members and to those that knew of him.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
