Cirone, Maria (nee Battaglia) Peacefully passed away on October 13, 2026, in her 96th year. Daughter of Antonino and Providenza Battaglia. She will be joining her beloved husband of 61 years Giuseppe (Joe).
Maria was born in Termini Imerese, Sicily; and was predeceased by her parents and siblings.
Maria will be missed by her loving daughter Rocchetta Marie (Massoud), her loving son Domenic (Lucy), cherished granddaughter Victoria, and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She is survived by her brother in law Nick and sister in law Nellina.
Maria was a proud and devoted member of the Confraternita Dell' Immacolata Concezione. She enjoyed lovingly preparing her delicious baked goods, often sharing her talents through donations to support fundraising bake sales at the MacKenzie Health Hospital.
Visitation will take place on Sunday October 18, 2026 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday October 19, 2026 at 9:30 am at St Pascal Baylon Church 92 Steeles Ave W in Thornhill. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria's memory to the charitable organization of your choosing.
