Maria was the loving wife of the late Joseph Picko, They came to this country in 1957 to make a better life for themselves and future family.
She was a beloved Mother to Joseph Jr. and wife Cathy Zampino, Steve, Gabriella and husband Bill Keighley.

Great grandmother to Oliver. Godmother to many.
Maria was a devout parishioner of St Elizabeth Church for decades always volunteering to help for church and social events. She was part of the Marriage club at the church and spent many hours in the church kitchens preparing delicious Hungarian food for the many feasts and events the church hosted.
She loved her flower and vegetable garden and spending time at the family cottage in the summertime.
She enjoyed baking her traditional cookies and treats. She would share them with friends, family and neighbours during holiday seasons.
A special thank you to Baycrest LTC home for the Aged for taking such good care of her the past 2 and a half years.
Visitation will take place at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street in North York on Friday July 31st from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary R.C. Church, 432 Sheppard Ave East in Toronto, on Saturday August 1st. Burial will follow at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Rd, North York, On M2N 1W7, Section 3.
