Mary Bobechko

Passed unexpectedly on April 1, 2016 surrounded by her family. Mary was born in Toronto in 1932. She and beloved sister Olga grew up in Loretto, ON, on the family farm. Mary and husband Walter Bobechko were married just shy of 50 wonderful years, the last 20 in Dallas. They travelled the world enjoying many adventures. Mary supported Wally’s medical career and mentored many young medical families along the way. But her true passion was her family and home was where she put her heart.

Proud of her five children, Kevin, Karen, Janet (Andrew), Ardys (David) and Debra (Nick), Mary was also adored by her eleven grandchildren. Memorable times were had with them at rodeos, enjoying the outdoors, cooking, and doing puzzles. Mary loved gardening, reading and had a vast recipe collection inspired by her travels. She had an adventurous spirit and was an avid boater, fisher, and collector of Depression glass. Mary was proud of her Ukrainian heritage and enjoyed sharing special traditions.

Visitation at Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Funeral service Thursday April 7 at 10 am at Jerrett Funeral Home, interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to Amici Camping Charity are appreciated – amicicharity.org.
