Devoted husband to Marilynn for over 55 years. Caring father to Janet, Joanne and Catherine (Sean) and Papa to Ethan and Sullivan. In addition to family, Paul leaves behind his loyal companion Gracie. Paul is predeceased by his lifelong childhood friends Bruce Fairley and John Wilton.
Paul worked hard to provide for the family, spending 34 years as an educator in the North York District School Board as both a teacher and later principal in numerous schools. In addition to his passion for teaching, Paul loved music, spending many years as the organist and choirmaster at All Saints King City and later singing in the Toronto Classical Singers. In his retirement, Paul enjoyed travelling, gardening and took on all the cooking, allowing Marilynn a true retirement.
Paul will be remembered for his wit, patience and his love of elaborate home cooked meals. He will be forever missed by many close friends and family.
Immense gratitude to Richard, Jan, Terri, Dave, Brenda and Malcolm for everything they have done over the past 11 months. A special thank you to the teams at Sunnybrook Hospital, Odette Cancer Centre, and Mackenzie Health for treating Paul with the utmost compassion.
