He leaves behind his wife Yvonne Thompson (nee: McCatty); children Kereen, Andrew and Nicholas Thompson.
He was a proud grandfather to Aleesha, Danielle, Destanny, Kian and Shanace; and devoted great-grandfather to Ezra, August, Angalo, Kyrle, Dalhia, Deaja and Halo.
Peter also left behind his siblings Kerry Thompson, Lorna Thompson, Michelle Henry and Johnny Thompson.
He is now reunited with his parents Ivy James and Charles Oliver; as well as siblings Cynthia Goldson and Robert Thompson.
Peter will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandparent, who loved music, food and his community, making people laugh and fine arts.
The family would like to thank North York General Hospital, the paramedics, Closing The Gap, Diabetes Foundation and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
