Our heartfelt sympathy to Sylvia's entire family. I will always recall with a smile her sense of humour; singing with her in the Independence Choir and hearing her saying "I  will sit close to you, so don't  put me off with any wrong notes". She will certainly be missed and forever remembered.

joyous memory of trips from NY to Toronto with our Aunt Wini to Visit your parents. Sylvia would make us our home dishes (Barbados).  In the evening we would sit in the back yard and stories were told,  your dad was quiet but when Sylvia started every one was in pain with laughter, I smile now because she gave me a life lasting treasure food and laughter. Your mother lived her life to the fullest extent - she travelled (there was not a bus trip she was not up for); she danced; she sang in the Barbados St, Michael School Choir and nudged me when necessary to keep me on key; she laughed often. To her son Michael and loved ones.
Sylvia was an active member of The Barbados  St. Michael Alumni (Toronto) Inc from its inception in 1981.
A caring and generous person has left us.  
Although she is no longer with us we will keep her memory in our hearts .
At times, Sylvia shared her home with the alumni members.
Sylvia was a member of our choir and volunteered to say prayers before the  beginning of the choir rehearsals.    
Sylvia will be remembered for her wit and humour. She was the life of the party and loved to dance.
Sylvia loved to share her school days stories with us as we fill the room with laughter.
Sylvia's place can never be filled and her loss will be with us forever.  Her memories will be treasured as we celebrate the life of such an amazing woman. 
We will miss her humour and of course her dance moves which we last saw at her 90th birthday celebration.
May the peace of the Lord be with her and may her son Michael find comfort in her memories.

Dear Michael, please accept our condolences on the passing of your Mom Sylvia. As a member of the St Michael's Alumni Association in Toronto, I, along with others share many fond memories and storytelling of our school days in Barbados, and also those in our Choir here in Canada. Sylvia was a jovial, funny  and a fond of life person who we all loved, and will always remember her generous and serious nature. May she rest in peace and be reunited with her beloved Arthur.

My friend, Sylvia, you will be dearly missed. I recall the times we met for Choir practice with our St. Michael's group and as we travelled together on the bus to the Church hall. You were always so funny and keeping everyone in high spirits. I will miss your sense of humour. I can't forget you especially whenever I called to say hello, you first asked how "your boy" (my husband) was even before you answered me! You will be always in our heart, because death does not lessen our love. RIP and rise in Glory.

It is very difficult to speak of my friend in the past tense. I will be comforted and consoled when I recall the happy moments. Thanks for the many memories....bus trips over the border, making a joyful noise as we sang in the St. Michael Alumni choir or hanging out in the mall etc.    Enjoy eternal rest as you sleep peacefully Sylvia. You will be missed but never forgotten.

You will be greatly missed Mrs. C.  After 53 years being neighbors we have many fond memories to cherish. I will always remember you at your kithchen window  every night looking out to see if we were home & that all was ok.  Rip we shall meet again
