Torquato "Carlo" Pontello

He is survived by his children Franco Pontello and Lorella Pannozzo (Frank Pannozzo), his grandchildren Giulio and Andrea Pontello, Ilenia, Kiara, and Gianluca Pannozzo. He is also survived by Pina, Mario (Marcella), and Enrichetta (Giuliano).

Carlo rejoins in eternal life, his beloved wife Fiorina, his parents Giulio and Oliva Pontello, and his brother Luigi.

He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren. Carlo will be remembered for his commitment to his church and Italian choirs, witty sense of humour and strong work ethic. He made a lasting impression on the lives of everyone who knew him.

The family would like to express deep thanks to the doctors and nurses at North York General Hospital, as well as the PSWs who helped cared for him, for their compassionate care.

Visitation will be held on Friday November 8, 2024 from 4-8 pm at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day Saturday November 9, 2024 at St. Paschal Baylon Parish, 92 Steeles Ave East in Thornhill, at 9:30 am. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation in Torquato’s memory to the Sick Kids Hospital.
