Rebecca Ann Stewart

Rebecca Ann Stewart was born to John and Marian Stewart on May 27, 1958, in Ceres, California and passed away on September 14, 2018, in Oakland, California. Rebecca was the third of three daughters and was brought to her Hughson home to big sisters, Yvonne (13) and Janice (11), who adored her and nicknamed her "Becky".

Becky attended Hughson schools, where she was identified for an advanced learner program. She was talented in writing and had poetry published in the county anthology. She loved music and many times played duets with her sister Yvonne on the piano. Beck y was also on the Hughson swim team and Ross track team.

Becky wanted a happy life, but it was not meant to be. Tragic circumstances and unfortunate choices led to her eventually becoming disabled, and she spent most of her teen and adult years in care facilities. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Nathan and Patricia, her social workers, and to her many caregivers and hospice workers who cared for her.

Becky's parents and sister Yvonne preceded her in death, but she is survived by her sister Janice Rocha of Oakdale, California and her son Scott Stewart of Modesto, California.

A visitation for Rebecca "Becky" Ann Stewart will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. She will be laid to rest privately.
