

Born May 26, 1933 to parents JC and Gladys Foster in Denson Springs, Texas. Bobby graduated from Slocum High School before moving to Houston, Texas to start his career with the Houston Police Department Motorcycle Division. Bobby retired from the Houston Police Department after over 20 years of service. After retiring from the police force, he owned and operated several business including Eagle Truck and Equipment Sales and CDL Express. Bobby was married to the love of his life, Janet Marie Foster, for sixty-nine years. Together Bobby and Janet had three children: Bobby Earl Foster Jr, Darla Marie Foster Caldwell and her husband Randall Caldwell, and Patricia Ann Foster Buchanan and her husband James Buchanan. Grandchildren: Wesley Foster and his wife Christy, April Mangum and her husband Chuck, Angela Staggs and her husband Robert. Amanda Bass and her husband James, Spencer Caldwell and his wife Kim, Kristen Pierce and her husband Welby, Anthony Caldwell and his wife Jessica. He was blessed with 19 great grandchildren. Bobby has one living sister Barbara Foster Fletcher that he admired and loved dearly. He is also survived by one sister in law, Wanda Nickell and her husband Don Nickell, and a host of nieces, nephews as well as great and great great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, JC and Gladys Foster; his two brothers, Billy Don, Benny Lee and his wife Loretta Foster, his son Bobby Earl Jr., and his loving wife (and first girlfriend) Janet Foster. Bobby lived for his family and loved them well. His grandchildren and great grandchildren describe him as someone that served others well, but served God first. He was a strong man that lived a full life, had an unmatched work ethic, took pride in all that he did, and was genuinely a good person. His family misses him tremendously, but finds great comfort knowing that he’s rejoicing in heaven reunited with the love of his life.
Graveside services for Bobby will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Muse Cemetery in Denson Springs Community near Slocum, under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
