

Graveside services for Bonnie Mae Ray, 86, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 9, 2013 in Restlawn Memorial Park in Sulphur Springs with Mike Perryman officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral home in Tyler.
Mrs. Ray passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2013 in Tyler.
She was born on August 31, 1927 in Sulphur Springs to the late Roland Marion and Eva Lou Lawhon Follis. She married Elwood Ray on July 7, 1947 and they were married for 63 years before his death. She volunteered for East Texas Medical Center for several years before being employed by East Texas Medical Center in the Physical Therapy Department where she worked from 1975-1989, retiring at age 71. She was a member of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Rita Perryman and husband Mike of Moody and Carolyn Golightly of Mt. Pleasant; son, Michael Ray of Whitehouse; grandchildren, Page Glasson of Woodway, Kelly Ragsdale of Lubbock, John Golightly of Edwards Air Force Base, California, Joshua and Jacob Ray of Whitehouse and David Golightly of Mt. Pleasant; great grandchildren, Isabel and Eli Glasson, Emma, Reagan and Coulter Ragsdale and Brody Golightly.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, from 5-7:00 P.M. at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
