

Memorial services for Charles E. Armstrong are scheduled for 2:00 pm Friday, May 23, 2014 at Marvin United Methodist Chapel and burial will be held prior to Memorial services at 11:00 am Friday, May 23, 2014 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM, May 22, 2014 at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, Texas.
Charles passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Houston, Texas.
He was born on January 11, 1933 in Ainsworth, Nebraska to Meryl and Helen M. Searson Armstrong.
Charles was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church in Tyler, Texas. He was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. He helped start the community Food Pantry in Noonday, Texas. Charles served his country in the US Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 plus years Barbara Armstrong; Also preceded in death are his parents Meryl and Helen Armstrong and brothers, Merle and V.M. “Bud” Armstrong.
He is survived by his two daughters Pamela Holland, of Anna, Texas and Jolene Dee Armstrong of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Arnold, Byron Holland III, Elizabeth Holland, John Charles Holland and Andrew Holland and brother, William Armstrong, Oro Valley Arizona.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, Texas.
