Clarence graduated from H. Grady Spruce High School, Tyler Junior College and the University of Phoenix. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, video game player and also loved to fish. Clarence married the love of his life, Leslie, on March 6, 2004 in Tyler, TX. He enjoyed working for White Shaver law firm in Tyler, TX and his work family. Clarence was apart of a lifelong friendship, often called the '3 Musketeers' that was made up of Richard Rowe, Perry Boren and himself. He overall loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Haleigh. Clarence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife Leslie Sorrels Russell; daughter Haleigh Ruth Russell; sisters Sheila Snelgrove, Alice (Matt) Neihouse, and Janice Russell; father-in-law and mother-in-law Tom (Diane) Sorrels; brother-in-law Daniel (Allison) Sorrels; 4 nieces; 5 nephews; 5 great-nieces; 3 great-nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Clarence is preceded in death by his mother Mary Louise Milam Cannon; father Clarence Davis Russell Jr.; grandmother Annie Milam; grandfather Clarence Davis Russell Sr.; and several aunts and uncles.

A memorial service for Clarence will be held Thursday, August 6, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 New Copeland Road, Tyler, Texas 75701. Masks are a requirement and social distancing of 6 feet is recommended. Please also participate in wearing your favorite superhero shirt to Clarence's memorial service as a tribute to him.
