Donald passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014 in Tyler.
He was born on July 7, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to Donald Norman and Mary Ann Small Parkinson.
He was the owner of Avco Roofing. He started the company from scratch and built it into a very successful business. His lifelong passion was music of all genres and playing his guitar.
Donald is survived by his wife, Sharon Parkinson of Tyler; 3 daughters, Shay Marie Parkinson, Megan Attebury, and Paige Attebury, all of Tyler; 1 son, Tyler Attebury of Tyler; sister, Linda Brooks and her husband, Dennis of Huntingdon, Tennessee; brother, Allen Parkinson of Memphis, Tennessee; and nephew Jeremiah Brooks of Huntingdon, Tennessee.
Honorary pallbearers will be his lifelong friends, Wallace Abernathy and Doug Bailey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Dennis Brooks, Jr.
