Edward Thomas Rowe

Services for Edward Thomas Rowe of Chandler will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at 10:00 AM at Lloyd James Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Lloyd James Funeral Home.

Edward Thomas Rowe was born on August 12, 1923, in Shreveport, LA., to Thomas and Thelma Rowe. Edward passed away on May 23, 2013, in the presence of loved ones. Edward Rowe graduated from Longview High School and attended both Kilgore College and Tyler Junior College. Edward retired from GE & Trane after 35 years of service as a maintenance electrician. His wife, Doris, said it best when she described her husband as her “everything”. He was a “true man” and a “great father”.

Edward is survived by his wife of 71 years, Doris Rowe; daughter, Virginia Gale Nipp and son-in-law Dale Nipp, of Chandler; son–in-law, David Tidmore (husband of the late Ann Rowe Tidmore), of Chandler; grandchildren, Sabrina Spurrier and husband Bob, of Royce City, Jeremey Tidmore and wife Casey of Chandler, Elana Tidmore and husband Ryan; great-grandchildren, Christopher Spurrier, Andrew, Hunter & Matthew Tidmore.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Thelma Rowe, and his daughter, Ann Rowe Tidmore.
