Elizabeth Ann Perez

Elizabeth was born on July 23, 1926, in Avery, Texas, to William and Thelma Dolby Cheves. In 1944, she met and married the love of her life, R.H. Perez. During their 61 years of marriage, they raised seven children and made their home in Michigan, Arizona, and Missouri before eventually returning to Texas to retire.

Elizabeth worked as a realtor in Missouri and later as a sales consultant at Selber Brothers in Tyler. Above all else, she devoted her life to her family, lovingly caring for and nurturing three generations.

She is survived by her children: Richard H. Perez of Corinth, Texas; Delores Holbrook and husband Roger of Aurora, Missouri; Mary Taylor and husband Robert of Bend, Oregon; Joseph Perez of Teague, Texas; and John Perez and wife Kelli of Whitehouse, Texas; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, R.H. Perez; her son, Michael Perez; her daughter, Carolyn Beth Sowell; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Cathedral in the Pines at a later date.
