Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Tyler.
She was born on May 8, 1927 in Cowden, Oklahoma to the late William Wheeler and Willie Belle King Pitt. She was a member of the University Church of Christ and a licensed vocational nurse. She loved quilting, painting and playing dominoes.
She is survived by her daughters, Sue Whitworth, Jane Cross and Debra Martin and husband Allen; son, Bill Taylor and wife JoAnn all of Tyler; sister, Dena Fay Kinder of Carnegie, Oklahoma; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband J. D. Taylor; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
