Jackie Ray Stringer

Mr. Stringer passed away on April 28, 2020 in Tyler. He was born on November 10, 1926 in Edom, Texas to the late Rufus Terrell and Carmen Dike Stringer. Mr. Stringer was a kind and gentle man whose Christlike actions earned him respect from all who knew him. He was a longtime member of West Erwin Church of Christ in Tyler, serving as a Deacon for many years. He loved helping others and was always quick to respond to others' needs. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend, and neighbor. He was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughter Pam Faubus and husband Don, grandchildren, Kelli Fossi, Chad Faubus, and Todd Faubus, and 12 great-grandchildren who adored him, and brother Randall Stringer of Flagstaff, Arizona, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Johnnie Mae Stringer, infant daughter Karen, brothers Robert Dike Stringer and Donnel Stringer, and infant sister Ora Dale.
