Jan will be remembered as a devoted wife, nurturing mother and adoring grandmother. She cherished her role as mom to her two children and found pure delight in being a Nonni to her four grandchildren. In their younger years, the grandchildren would come to Tyler for a week or two of Camp Nonni-Poppi with no parents allowed, some of the most treasured times of her life.
One of her favorite places to be was vacationing with family on the beach in Pensacola. She found peace and inspiration by the sea, taking walks along the shore and collecting her precious seashells which she would leave in clusters around the house after returning home. Jan also took great pride in her hand-tended rose garden and the beautiful cottage flower beds that adorned her beloved backyard. She was a talented watercolor painter, capturing the beauty of nature with her brush and palette. Her works of art were displayed throughout the home that she loved so dearly.
Throughout her life, Jan touched the hearts of those around her with her warmth, humor and giving spirit. She left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Jan's family and friends will forever cherish the memories they shared with her, recalling her laughter and unconditional love. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jan is preceded in death by her mother, Helen Taylor and her father, Eldon Taylor. She is survived by her husband, Glenn Miller; daughter, Amy Miller and son-in-law, Gene Burge, and son, Joshua Miller and daughter-in-law, Tatiana Miller.
