Jeanne M. Roberts

Funeral Services for Jeanne Massey “Nana” Roberts, 91, of Tyler, are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church in Kaufman, Texas with Bro. Robert L. Webb officiating. Burial will be in Kaufman City Cemetery.

She passed away on January 11, 2018 in Tyler.

Jeanne was born on October 12, 1926 in Kaufman, to the late R. Leonard and Dera Jones Massey.

She graduated from Kaufman High School and later attended Texas Woman’s University and North Texas State University.

She moved to Tyler in 1955 and lived for the last 60 years at her home on Marian Street. She was a long time employee of Stone Container Company, formerly Continental Can Corporation.

She enjoyed the company of her family and her cherished pets throughout her life.

Jeanne is survived by her son Stephen Glynn Roberts and her daughter-in-law, Jean Dungan Roberts, of Houston, Texas and grandsons Sean D. Roberts of Houston and Ryan D. Roberts of Dallas. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces, Susan Massey Burleson and Sharon Massey Robertson and her nephew, Warren Massey. Finally, she is survived by Prissy, her cat, who is now a member of the Houston Roberts family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Douglas Lee Roberts and her brothers, Roy Warren Massey and Dan Bruce Massey.

Pallbearers will be Bud Burleson, Glynn Roberts, Sean Roberts and Ryan Roberts
