

Funeral services for John Edwin Rasco, 69, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Glenwood Church of Christ in Tyler with Dr. Tommy King and Dr. Wes Crawford officiating under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm, Tuesday, March 18 at the funeral home.
Mr. Rasco passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Frisco.
John was born on August 15, 1944 in Tyler to the late Edwin Maurice and Nina Kathleen Arnold Rasco. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1962 and then received a bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University in 1968. Currently he was the Vice President of Westwood Residential in Frisco. He was a praise team member and former deacon of Glenwood Church of Christ. He sang with The Vocal Majority, a men’s barbershop chorus.
In addition of his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sally Rasco Paden.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jerri Rasco of Tyler; children, Greg Rasco and wife Leslie of Tyler, Jill Rasco and Joel Randle of Frisco and Amy Rasco Porter and husband Mark of Hallsville; grandchildren, Justin Rasco, Jalen Randle, Taylor Rasco, Sarah Rasco, Ivy Rasco, Mallory Porter, Blake Porter and Luke Porter; twin sister, Joan Rasco Allan of Wichita, Kansas.
