Patsy Ruth Roland

Patsy Ruth Roland, beloved wife of 53 years of Charles Roland, passed away on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at East Texas Medical Center.Born November 29, 1938, in Turbeville, South Carolina, she was the youngest daughter of the late Kenneth and Sudie (Spigner) Morris. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was dearly loved by her family and many friends and will be greatly missed. Pat was a homemaker and a volunteer with the Salvation Army Home League Ladies.She is survived by her daughter, Charlene Whitt (husband Mark) of Chapel Hill and her son, Tony Roland (wife Deborah) of Garland; sister Marjorie Morris (husband Bobby) of Sumter, South Carolina and brothers Norman Morris and Laverne Morris, both previously deceased; grandchildren Jason Whitt, Amanda Langley and Tony Lynn Roland; great-grandchildren Shayla and Kelsea Langley.The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lloyd James Funeral Home.Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Williams Cemetary in Chapel Hill with Rev.
