Robert A Bone

Robert, fondly known as Bob, was born on April 24, 1933, to Aaron and Alberta Bone in Ecorse Mi., the second of five children. He was a curious, innovative child and could usually be found building a bike from forged parts or taking something apart just to see how it worked. He was no stranger to hard work and quit school at a young age to help on the family farm and later in his father’s appliance store. As a young adult he became a licensed electrician and excelled in his trade.

On June 6, 1954, he married his one true love and life partner Mamie Girodano. He often described his marriage as “a match made in heaven”. While living in Trenton Mi., Bob and Mamie were blessed with 6 children, 5 boys and one girl. Bob was a believer in Jesus Christ, a member of the local Church of Christ Church and most recently attended Broadway Church of Christ where he worshipped and served. He loved to travel, tell a good story, never met a stranger, was quick to smile, give a hug or kiss and could fix anything that was broken.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Mamie, brother’s Ray and Doug, son David and daughter in law Jan.

He is survived by his sister Nancy Head, brother Don, 3 sisters-in-law Nell, Marsha and Pauline, children Bob, Jim, Tim, Ranae, and Jeff, 4 daughters-in-law, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many other extended family members. All of these he was extremely proud of, prayed for and loved dearly.

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E 1st St, Tyler, Texas 75701. A "celebration of life" service will occur Monday, July 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 1011 E 1st St, Tyler, Texas 75701. A burial will occur Monday, July 24, 2023 at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery, 7825 S. Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75703.
