A proud graduate of Sabine High School, he spent 30 years as a dedicated auto mechanic at Sears. He was also a long-time member of Lake Tyler Baptist Church. His biggest role was that of a beloved dad and "Pop" to his children and grandchildren.
Bobby embraced a variety of hobbies. He had a great love for NASCAR races, fishing, and golfing often enjoying them with family and friends. He also had a green thumb, especially known for his talent in growing exceptionally tall tomato plants.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Oma and Robert Mount; his daughter, Michelle Tarbutton; and his brothers, Trenton, J.R., and Daryl Mount.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anita Mount; his three sons, Terry Mount, Alan Mount, and Gary Mount; and daughter-in-law, Beth Gilmore; his sisters, Shirley Campbell and Nevel Morton.
His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, Christina Denton, Audrey Johnston, Camryn Tarbutton, Chase Borow, and Lucas Mount, as well as his great-grandchildren, Liam Johnston, Michelle Johnston, and Wesley Johnston.
Bobby's presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will be forever cherished by his family and all who knew him.
A visitation for Robert will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 East First Street, Tyler, TX 757013308. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Interment will be follow at Cathedral In The Pines Cemetery.
